{Independence Day}

DSC_0029

We love the 4th of July.
Especially when we get to spend it in my home town of Mount Pleasant, Utah.
There is so much pride and patriotism in this little town.
I am so happy we got to share it with them this year.

The S* Family at the Parade

All the grandkids lining up for the kids parade.
We spent hours getting all the bikes decorated.
Next year, we decided they are all piling into a trailer!

Kennedy on her bike.
The slow pace of a parade is just her speed.

And Lucy hitching a ride from Grandma Glenda
I was hooting and hollering as she approach where we were sitting.
She liked all the fuss I was making.

Everyone in MP is all decked out in red, white, and blue
We were just trying to keep up.

Lucy decided to watch the parade from the comfort of her Daddy's lap
after getting wet from the fire engine

Kennedy wasn't a fan of the water either...

After the parade we went back to the house and had a BBQ.
The kids played and Rex grossed everybody out by watching
Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Competition.
We finished off the day with the spectacular firework show put on by the city.
The girls crashed the instant we put them to bed.
It was a perfect day!
