One, Kennedy has somebody to play with and keep her busy.
Two, we are hoping this will prepare Kennedy a little bit for a future sibling (not that we are making an announcement nor will you hear one any time soon).
By the way, it is still 110 here in Phoenix. Any suggestions on how to keep this 18 month old busy while still being stuck in the house all day?

Play dough works well. It is kind of messy and you have to be careful to make sure she doesn't eat it. If it gets on the carpet I let it dry out and then vacuum it up. I don't have any permanent damage from it yet and we used to play with it all the time.
Also, rice in a large pan with sand toys. Again messy but easily cleaned up.
Music to dance to. Macy likes the Disneymania Re-mix CD. It takes the popular disney songs and puts a modern sound to them.
Dishes. Buy cheap plastic toys or give her paper plates, cups, and utensils. If you want it to be more exciting let her fill them with water for a tea party.
Balloons. Blow up a couple of balloons to hit around.
You could always show her pictures of Austin. That seems to keep most girls occupied for a few hours. You might need to place a towel underneath her to catch all the drool. Just a thought
