An Intervention

It has been brought to our attention that we need an intervention in this house. We realized this when I walked out of my bathroom the other morning to find Kennedy laying perfectly still on the floor, eyes closed, and her hands neatly clasped at her chest. She had on a dress, a veal (er, made out of my maternity garment top), and a crown. When I asked what she was doing, she replied, "just waiting for my prince to come kiss me awake."

Yikes! We've had WAY too much princess play around here. It's starting the freak even me out. So, no more princess movies (well, for now). We are going to try and focus her attention on preparing for pre-school next year instead. Letters, numbers, shapes, and all that exciting stuff.

Wish us luck, we may be having princess withdrawals over the next few weeks.

Isn't it funny/cute/scary how they latch onto that stuff?

Good luck with the preschool prep!

Don't force it to go away, because it goes away all too quickly. Pretty soon you will be longing for these days! Anja was the same way, and it is slowly leaving....

I don't mind that she loves the princesses, it's quite adorable actually. It's the dreaming of boys and marriage that I am worried about! She keeps trying to kiss me (ya know, really kiss me) like they do at the end of the movies.
